Technical Art
This is a special section of the website, dedicated to the presentation of technical information with Blender. The objective is to fill the gap that exists between the technical persons without artistic skills and the designers without technical background. Having a background in engineering and working several years in research and development, I can better understand the technical aspects to be presented. The years of daily experience with Blender and programming, allow me to find the most convenient way to present the data or to create personalized tools for you to do it without previous Blender experience.
Product development
While developing some new product or experimental setup, there is usually the need to see how it will look when finished. Blender can do that easily and in a realistic way, with the advantage of being possible to make animations to better show how things will work.

Multiple column graphics
When you have data to present in a report, article or presentation, you probably use Excel or another spreadsheet to create a graphic like this.
While not "bad", you can create much better looking images with Blender, representing exactly the same information, like the example shown bellow.
You don't know how to use Blender? Don't worry, it is possible to create a unique and personalized graphic for you or your company and a dedicated menu where you just have to browse for your data.
Apart from that, other commands to change sizes, colors or other parameters can be easily placed in your menu for your final touch.

Scientific / Academic poster
This is a Scientific / Academic poster I've made with Blender to present in the AERC 2015 conference in Nantes.
Everything made in Blender, using the logo images as textures. All the graphics are realy 3D and the camera was placed at the average head position relatively to the poster, in order to have the right perspectives for the elements along the poster. With Blender as you are working with 3D and you have all the freedom, you can make several variables graphics, for example an x-y series can have its color and/or width vary along x according to two other variables (which was not the case in the plots of the poster). Depending on the content of your poster, with Blender you can even print it with stereoscopic effects and give some 3D glasses to your visitors in order to have a more realistic 3 dimensional experience. |
Demographic statistical data
In this example, created for the Blender PT Conference 2013, I present statistics of population density in Portugal.
A .blend file was created with a personalized menu where with a click you can choose a new external .txt data file and the each region's height and color is automatically updated. More info here.
